Application Terms
These terms apply when you apply for a job at Syott Limited ("Syott"), whether through our website, by email or through a recruiter working with us. Please read them before you apply.
Applying doesn't create a contract
Our job adverts invite applications; they aren't offers of employment. Applying doesn't create an employment relationship or oblige us to progress your application. An offer of employment is valid only when Syott makes it in writing.
What you send us
Please make sure the information you give us is accurate and yours to share. Don't send us:
- confidential information belonging to a current or former employer;
- sensitive personal data, such as health information or religious beliefs, unless we ask for it, for example to arrange an adjustment you've requested; or
- other people's personal data, such as referees' details, unless they've agreed.
If we find that important information in an application is inaccurate or misleading, we may end the process or withdraw an offer.
Fair treatment and adjustments
We assess every candidate on their skills and experience for the role. We don't discriminate on any ground protected by law, including, in Ireland, gender, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, race and membership of the Traveller community, or on equivalent grounds in the country where the role is based.
If you need an adjustment at any stage, tell your recruiter. We'll make reasonable adjustments, and the people assessing you won't be told about your request unless they need to know in order to put the adjustment in place.
Assessments and interviews
Any task or exercise we ask you to complete is used only to assess your application. You keep ownership of your work, and we won't use it in our products. Please don't share our assessment materials publicly, and don't record interviews unless everyone taking part agrees.
Right to work and pre-employment checks
Any offer is conditional on your right to work in the country where the role is based and on any pre-employment checks that apply to the role. We'll tell you which checks apply before we carry them out, and we'll carry them out in line with local law.
How we handle your personal data
Syott Limited is the controller of the personal data in your application. We use it to assess your application, communicate with you and make hiring decisions. It is seen by our recruiting team, the people involved in hiring for the role and, where relevant, recruiters working for us.
We keep applications for 12 months after the hiring process ends and then delete them. If you'd like us to consider you for future roles, we'll ask for your agreement before keeping your application for longer. If you join Syott, your application becomes part of your employee record.
You can withdraw your application at any time. For more information, including your rights and how to exercise them, see our Privacy Policy and GDPR Data Requests.
Recruitment agencies
We don't accept unsolicited CVs from recruitment agencies. We pay an agency fee only where we have a signed agreement with the agency and our recruiting team has asked it in writing for candidates for the specific role. A CV sent in any other way is unsolicited, and no fee is payable if we hire the candidate.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you apply is the one that applies to your application. These terms are governed by Irish law; this doesn't affect any mandatory protections you have under the law of the country where you live or where the role is based.
