US Privacy Rights

This notice is for people who live in the United States. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes in full how Syott Limited ("Syott") handles personal information.

Syott Limited is an Irish company. Based on our current size and activities, we don't believe we meet the thresholds that make the California Consumer Privacy Act or similar US state privacy laws apply to us. We still want US visitors to understand what we collect and to have real choices, so we follow the practices below.

What we collect

Through our website, we collect:

  • identifiers, such as your name, email address, IP address and cookie or device IDs;
  • professional information, such as your company, company size and, if you apply for a job, your work history;
  • internet activity, such as the pages you view, clicks and scrolling, and session recordings if optional tools are switched on;
  • approximate location, derived from your IP address or from the country you pick on our website; and
  • the content of your messages, meaning whatever you choose to tell us in forms, emails or chat.

We collect this information from you, from your browser or device, and through the service providers listed on our Subprocessors page. We use it for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy and keep it for the periods listed there.

No selling or sharing for targeted advertising

We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't use advertising networks or social media tracking pixels on our website.

Opting out of optional tools

Our analytics, session recording and support chat tools are optional. In the United States they may be switched on by default. You can switch any of them off at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer of our website.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to switch off all optional tools in that browser; you don't need to do anything else. GPC is a browser setting, so you'll need to turn it on in each browser you use.

Your requests

Wherever you live in the United States, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • delete your personal information; and
  • stop using your personal information for optional purposes.

To make a request, email privacy@syott.co with the subject line "US privacy request". We'll confirm that we've received it within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we'll tell you why and may take up to 45 more days.

We verify requests, usually by writing to the email address we hold for you. You can use an authorized agent; we'll ask for your signed permission and may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly.

If we decline your request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our response, and we'll answer within 45 days. We won't treat you differently for making a request.

Children

Our website isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
