Complaints

If we've got something wrong, we want to hear about it. This page explains how to make a complaint to Syott Limited ("Syott") and what happens next.

What you can complain about

You can complain about anything to do with Syott, including:

  • our website or our products;
  • how we've handled your personal data;
  • how a member of our team has treated you, including during a hiring process;
  • billing or other commercial matters, if you're a customer; and
  • barriers that make our website or products hard to use.

Some issues have a faster route. To report a security issue, follow our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy. To exercise your data protection rights, see GDPR Data Requests. For help with an account, email support@syott.co.

How to complain

Email complaints@syott.co, or write to Syott Limited, Complaints, Unit 3D North Point House, North Point Business Park, New Mallow Road, Cork, T23 AT2P, Ireland.

Please include:

  • your name and how we can contact you;
  • the organisation you represent, if any;
  • what happened and when;
  • any reference numbers, emails or screenshots that help explain the problem; and
  • what you would like us to do.

If you need to make your complaint in a different way, for example because of a disability, let us know and we'll make reasonable arrangements.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and tell you who is handling it.
  2. We look into it. The person handling your complaint reviews what happened, speaks to the people involved and may ask you for more information.
  3. We send you our response in writing within 20 business days of receiving your complaint, explaining what we found and what we'll do. If we need more time, we'll tell you why and when to expect our response.

If you're not satisfied

If you're unhappy with our response, reply and ask for a review. A senior person who wasn't involved in the original response will review your complaint and reply within 20 business days.

You can also take your concern outside Syott:

  • about personal data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie) or to the data protection authority where you live;
  • if you're a consumer, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (www.ccpc.ie) provides information about your rights; and
  • you can seek independent legal advice or go to court.

How we use the information in your complaint

We use the information you give us only to handle your complaint, to improve how we work and to deal with any related legal claims. Only the people who need it can see it. We keep complaint records for 6 years after the complaint is closed and then delete them. See our Privacy Policy for more.
